Today, the ISU Nontenure-Track Faculty Union Election Approaches
Who will be
eligible to vote in the upcoming election? We don't know
yet, but we can explain both the NTTFA's position and the
university's position.
Our position is that all NTTs should be allowed to vote. No part-time or newly-hired NTTs should be excluded. We all do the same work, so we all should be eligible to vote. The administration's position was stated in a letter to the labor board on October 29 and would prevent at least 270 of the 400 NTTs teaching this semester from voting. |

between the ISU Non-Tenure Track Faculty Association, IEA-NEA and
Illinois State University to determine the composition of the
bargaining unit was completed in Springfield on Thursday, February
13. What NTTs Think

board of higher education
studied nontenure track faculty and reached some surprising
conclusions. The NTT FA assessed the IBHE
