How Much Would Union Dues Really Be?

Using the 2002-2003 dues amounts, the following hold:

For NTTs with a:	IEA/NEA annual dues would be:	Monthly payment (assuming 12 month payment option):
Full-time appointment	$464.00	$38.67
Half-time appointment	$244.50	$20.35
Quarter-time (or less) appointment	$132.25	$11.02

It is also recommended that the local association collect local dues of $15 per year.

During the first year (2003-2004), NTT dues would be roughly half of the above amounts, or:

For NTTs with a:	IEA/NEA annual dues would be:	Monthly payment (assuming 12 month payment option):

Half-time appointment	$132.25	$11.02
Quarter-time (or less) appointment	$76.13	$6.34

It would be impossible for "fair share" to be implemented during the first year. Only NTTs who choose to join would pay dues during the 2003-2004 year.
