voting is required for all officer elections.
Officers are elected for two-year terms, commencing on July 15. Meetings are conducted according to Robert's
Rules of Order.
What
are the Association's standing committees?
Communications, Bargaining, Grievance, Membership,
and Legislative committees are all standing committees of the NTT Faculty
Association. Ad hoc committees may be
formed by the President with the approval of the Representative Council.
How
do NTTs participate in IEA and NEA?
The NTTFA elects a representative to the region
council, which meets monthly to advise the region's chair--an IEA board
member--on IEA policy issues. IEA and
NEA each hold a Representative Assembly where major policy decisions, including
the approval of a budget and legislative platform, are made. The NTTFA elects representatives to attend
each of these assemblies.
